Meet the Pope
A Papal Audience, also called the General Audience, is when the Holy Father addresses the crowd, usually in different languages. It's not a mass but the Pope gives a themed speech, followed by prayers, a homily, and some singing. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the Pope himself. Before the Papal Audience begins, our expert guide will provide insight into the history and traditions of the Papacy. The Audience is held on Wednesday’s at 10:30a.m. In summer, because of the heat, sometimes the Papal Audience is moved up to 10a.m. The Papal Audience only happens when the Pope is actually in Rome, which means that he doesn’t deliver a service every Wednesday. Although Papal Audience tickets are free, we take care of reserving and picking up the tickets for you, making the whole process stress free. After the Audience,we will continue with our Vatican adventure just some steps away from Piazza San Pietro with a quick introduction about the area around Vatican City. The Vatican is a must see for every visitor coming to Rome: The City of Vatican is the holy see where the head of The Catholic Church resides, is the smallest state in the world, has the biggest church and one of the largest museums in the world. As you pass the famed Pontifical Swiss Guard, The Pope’s Security Force since 1505, you’ll enter perhaps the most recognizable piazza in the western world: St. Peter’s Square. From there we will bybass the long waiting lines to enter the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Inside the Vatican you have more than 7 kilometers of galleries, wich makes Vatican Museums some of the largest museums in the world. Walking throught Raphael Rooms, Gallery of Maps, Gallery of Tapesteries, you will have the priviledge to admire the great mastepieces of painting and sculpture from all time periods. After the museums, you will visit Sistine Chapel with Michelangelos's Last Judgement. The Last Judgement is thought to be the largest body of painting executed solely by one artist, considered the greatest masterpiece of western art. Our last stop is going to be jaw-dropping St.Peter's Basilica, where you will enter the heart of Catholicism. This vast and awe-inspiring church is rich in decoration, history, and magnificent art. Among its many treasures are the moving Pietà by Michelangelo, Bernini's enormous bronze altar and much more...
